Yes, it is. The writers were on Talk of the Nation yesterday and there's an excerpt from the book on NPR's website. The blurb I read made me think that I am actually a bad Sassy fan, because I read Sassy AND YM/Teen/whatever my mom bought for me, and I liked them both. I liked Top 40 music and trendy clothes, but I also liked Nirvana and all the grrl power stuff Sassy promoted.

BEAUTY SHOP was great! It'll be nice for all those parents who want "clean" books for their kids, and I loved the Gray Widows. I want to be half that cool when I'm their age.

The last one is too cute. :) Henry looks entirely smug about having the best pillow around, namely Beezus. I love it when our Sky uses his sisters or mother for a pillow--he's a real opportunist. Only his dad refuses to be a pillow for anyone else--I'm usually HIS pillow, as he loves to be my lap cat.
