No pictures, sorry, although I did take some the other day. This is just a story.
Today, Beezus and Ramona went to the vet for their last round of immunizations. I find they prefer to travel in the same carrier. They whine less and they cuddle when they're together. So I packed them up, put them in the car, and took them to the vet. Bee whined. Mo didn't seem to notice.
When the vet tech called them, he said, "Ramona? And Beatrice? Those are soap-opera names!" I told him no, they're from a children's book series, and another woman in the waiting room said, "
Ramona the Pest, right?" SOMEONE gets it.
Since I saw a new vet today (same animal hospital where we've always taken them, just a different doctor), I spent a little time filling her in on their medical history. She admired them in their carrier and was astonished that they weren't littermates, because they have similar eyes and the gray of Bee's spots is almost identical to Ramona's coat. They're also the same size. I was telling her how well they get along when Ramona stretched out along the side of the carrier and rolled over onto her back.
Two seconds later, Bee looked up at the vet as though to say, "Want to see how much I love Ramona?" and she sat down on Ramona's head.
Ramona is either the most tolerant cat on the planet or Beezus sits on her head more often than Mr. Cedar and I have observed, because she didn't do anything.
They are both happy and healthy and they have nice teeth and are a little on the small side, but they are good eaters and have tons of energy so they might just be naturally runty.
