Cute pictures! of cats!
I'm sick and buried under a mountain of work, so my post on the Sassy book and Beauty Shop for Rent will have to wait. Have some pictures of my kittens in the meantime.

Blog readers, this is Henry, who is, of course, named after Henry Huggins. Henry, these are the blog readers.

It's hard to take a picture of something that never stops moving. )

Cats and mice
Thank you to everyone for your kind comments about Ramona. Mr. Cedar and I are feeling very empty without her. I couldn't respond, but your thoughts mean a lot.

Beezus has been crazy lonely without Ramona, following us around the apartment and making sure one of us is there when she eats (but she has been eating, and I cannot tell you how relieved I am about that), so we took her to the pet-sitter's for some company. She'll be there while we're in Florida this week, playing with their three kids, dog, and cat. And when she comes home, we're getting her a kitten. We've already pre-adopted a 10-week old male gray-and-white tabby and named him Henry. At the shelter, Henry jumped out of another person's arms and onto Mr. Cedar's shoulder, where he started purring. It was a sign. We're all still very lost and weepy about Ramona, but we're also glad to be able to give Henry a good home, and to give Beezus a companion. Pictures will come.

Mr. C and I are leaving tomorrow for Florida, where we'll visit a large mouse and alternate visits to Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion. And sometime between now and January 20th I have to read 40 books. *headdesk*
